Telehealth.

Therapy just got a whole lot easier.

Research has touted its effectiveness.
Consumers of therapy are starting to catch on.

No more travel time, worrying about parking, or sitting in waiting rooms. Less time commuting means greater flexibility in scheduling. Now you can easily meet on your lunch break, while the kids are napping or organize your workday around your appointment all while wearing your go-to yoga pants and drinking coffee from your favorite mug.

While there are essential elements to ensure our success (say that 3 times fast), they are not typically prohibitive and can be easily remedied.

Essential Elements

Your Mindset

Prepare by having a pen and paper for notes, a hot or cold drink nearby, and comfortable seating.

Limit distractions by silencing your phone and turning off notifications on your computer.

Log on a few minutes early to avoid any last-minute updates.

Take a moment to close your eyes and breathe deeply. I’ll let you into the session shortly.

Your Meeting Space

Creating a truly private space is essential. If needed, play music outside the meeting room using your phone or Bluetooth speaker. Some may prefer headphones to better hear the conversation.

It’s important for me to see your face clearly, so ensure you’re well-lit and avoid having bright lights or windows behind you.

If feasible, consider sitting outside, using pillows in a closet, or sitting in your car—just make sure you have a good internet or cellular connection, feel safe, and that children are supervised.

Comfort, safety, and privacy are non-negotiable.

Your Technology

If possible, connect with me using a computer, laptop, or tablet that allows me to clearly see and hear you. Using an Ethernet cable (CAT 5) is the best option for a stable connection.

Streaming music and videos can use bandwidth, so please ask others in your household to avoid these activities. If needed, download playlists or movies for your children in advance, close unnecessary apps, and disconnect your phones from the Wi-Fi.

To check your connection speed, visit Speedtest. Ideally, aim for an upload speed of 3.2 Mbps and a download speed of 2.6 Mbps.
